Mary Bielaska is the founder of Zanicorn International and was formerly a Partner in the BDO Consulting Services practice where she oversaw the risk advisory services rendered in the western region of the United States and was charged with further developing BDO Seidman’s Risk Advisory practice in this region. She was one of the founding partners in BDO’s San Diego office.
Mary is an attorney who began practicing in the public sector advising various governmental entities and later expanded her practice to include International Securities, Corporate Governance and Commercial transactions.
For over 25 years, Mary has worked primarily at international legal and consulting firms such as Dewey & LeBoeuf, RSM McGladrey and BDO prior to founding Zanicorn International. She has advised corporate issuers, governmental organizations, underwriters and institutional purchasers of securities in both domestic and international financings and has extensive experience representing acquirers, target companies and independent board committees in both domestic and cross-border acquisitions transactions and managing post-acquisition integration issues for several international clients. Mary has represented several large public financial institutions and other companies with respect to their merger and acquisition transactions and due diligence matters, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance projects and various regulatory matters.
Mary has gained much of her experience throughout her career assisting multi-national corporations with their strategic growth initiatives overseas and this experience contributed heavily to her decision to form Zanicorn International, LTD for the primary purpose of assisting corporations and governmental entities with their finance, accounting, legal and administrative needs including business process outsourcing including, but not limited to, accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and human resource outsourcing.
In addition, Mary has represented several large private institutions that are dedicated to strengthening both their internal and operational controls and standards and throughout her career she also has had experience managing post-acquisition implementation projects. Her clients have included, among others, several large Fortune 500 companies; insurance companies; biotechnology, pharmaceutical and advertising firms; banking institutions; energy companies; and municipalities and other governmental entities.
Mary is a member of the American Bar Association, International Law Section and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York where she has co-chaired several subcommittees of the Corporation Law Committee.
She is a graduate of Fordham University School of Law, where she was on the editorial board of the Urban Law Journal.
